1- Does the visual match to the lyrics, contradict or amplify the message. Usually the message is contradicted or amplified during a music video.
This is AC/DC back In black. This matches the first of the six concepts. The visuals of the video match the lyrics that are being sung. This usually happens in a classic heavy rock band video. The message they want to get across in lyrics and visual is usually the same and they want to focus on one message.

2- Thought Beats. This is seeing he sound. The music video will speed up or slow down with the beat or completely not match at all. Visuals are usually copied with the choruses to amplify message.

This is bounce by Calvin Harris. The beat of the song matches the visual in the video. Bounce is being said in the video and the ball bounces in the video. This is called thought beats, you are seeing the sounds in the video.

3- Genre related style and iconography present. Artists have a trend when they repeat certain visuals throughput the music video. Becoming a trademark visual people will be viewing.

This is Amy Winehouse Back to black. The trademark in Amys visual was here big jet black hair with the black eye makeup that was recognised all the time. You can see this throughout here videos that the image is made.

4- Multiple close ups of main artist, vocalist. This creates a star image and a brand visual for them into there music career.

This is Beyoncé, countdown. as you can see throughout the video she in centre stage. the video is all about her and making her brand image or star profile. This is all the case in many of her other videos where it is all about. She is centre stage whatever she may be doing such as dancing or walking about. She in dominantly in the centre of the video.

5- Voyeurism, what you are focused to view. Usually in a 'male gaze' fashion. Women are place there almost for a sexual object.

As you can se in this video Ariana and Nicki are there for the male attraction. They are wearing very little and moving in a sexual way. There facial movements also entwine with the male gaze persona. The other women in the background are also dressed in he same way.

6- Inter-textual references to other media texts. Not unusual for there to be direct links to other media texts in a music video through either lyrics or visuals.
